Overview
Stephen Cornes is a principal in Heidrick & Struggles’ London office and a member of the Leadership Development Practice. He is a high-performance leadership and team consultant with more than 25 years of experience in investment banking, strategy, leadership development, leadership team coaching, and leadership consulting.
Experience
Stephen delivers senior leadership programs globally for FTSE 100 and S&P 500 companies. He partners with clients to foster high-performance cultures and to lead with clarity, confidence, and alignment. Stephen works across complex, fast-paced sectors, including financial services, energy, engineering, pharma, fintech, and professional sports.
As a leadership team coach, Stephen has worked with clients in 29 countries across industries and cultures, delivering over 3,000 hours of coaching to enhance leadership effectiveness.
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Stephen worked in Merrill Lynch’s fast-track leadership program and on the debt trading floor. He began his career in consulting with CSC, working on large-scale transformation projects. As an actor with West End credits, Stephen applies energy, storytelling, and presence to leadership development. He integrates an innovative, experiential, and energetic approach to learning that results in high levels of engagement and long-lasting organizational transformation.
