Overview
Daniel Edwards is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles' Washington D.C. office and a member of the global Financial Services Practice. Previously, he was a global managing partner of the Private Equity and Financial Services practices. Daniel’s expertise spans traditional and alternative asset management sectors, as well as investment banking and private equity.
Experience
Daniel has held numerous leadership roles around the firm, including head of geographies overseeing the firm’s offices worldwide. Previously, he was the regional managing partner for the firm’s business in Asia Pacific and global co-leader of the Financial Services Practice. He moved into these roles after running the Asia Pacific Financial Services Practice and the firm’s Tokyo office.
Prior to moving to Asia, Daniel managed the Wall Street office, the heart of the firm’s Financial Services Practice, and at the same time was co-leader of the global Hedge Fund Practice. He is fluent in French and Spanish.

Philanthropy and Service
Daniel is a volunteer firefighter/paramedic with the Bethesda Chevy Chase Rescue Squad and a member of the board of the Foundation for Farmworkers and the Haese Academy in the Dominican Republic.
As part of his master's program, he spent a year teaching in France and a year working for a charity in Mexico.
