Experience
Steffen has over 15 years of global executive search and leadership advisory experience. He focuses on key leadership and corporate roles that drive business transformation in the industrial, consumer goods, B2B and B2C retail, and wholesale trade sectors. As a business psychologist, he applies a results-driven approach to shaping high-performing leadership teams.
Steffen leads consulting and search engagements across markets, focusing on functional and general management roles, and positions that transform go-to-market strategy. His experience across private equity, family-owned, and listed companies allow him to navigate diverse cultures and business models.
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Steffen was a partner at a leading international executive search boutique firm. He started his career in executive search while completing his academic studies and an apprenticeship at Deutsche Bahn Schenker as a logistics merchant. He is fluent in German and English.
