Jonathan M. Graham

Overview

Jonathan Graham is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Chicago and New York offices and global managing partner of the Industrial Practice, working with clients primarily on board and CEO succession. His experience covers a broad range of client situations from $100B blue-chip public companies to smaller, PE-backed portfolio companies. Throughout his career, Jonathan has led more than 170 CEO engagements.

Experience

Jonathan has held a number of leadership roles including global managing partner of the Industrial Practice, regional managing partner of the Industrial Practice in the Americas, and global managing partner of the manufacturing sector.

Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles in 2000, Jonathan held a number of positions with both chemical companies and top management consulting firms. As a consultant with McKinsey & Company, he was a leader in the sales force practice and the business-to-business marketing practice. During his tenure with both McKinsey and PricewaterhouseCoopers, Jonathan focused on developing corporate strategy, transforming sales forces, and implementing strategic marketing. His industry expertise spans chemicals, electronic components, semiconductors, health care, corporate banking, computers, automotive components, and deregulated utilities.

Jonathan also served as vice president, marketing for a Cleveland-based chemical company focused on both industrial and institutional market segments. He gained experience with research and development management through several key roles with BASF Construction Chemicals – the world’s largest construction chemicals company.
