Julia Goodman


Julia Goodman is a principal in Heidrick & Struggles’ Johannesburg office working across sub-Saharan Africa. She is a member of the Global Technology & Services and Consumer Markets practices, and has completed a number of assignments for nonprofit and social enterprise organizations. She also provides leadership consulting and advisory services assignments including digital transformation across all industries.


Julia was previously an engagement manager at Heidrick & Struggles. Before that, she spent three years at a boutique executive search firm in Johannesburg where she worked extensively with C-suite executives and directors to source the best talent in the market, conduct market scans and talent maps, and consult on HR restructuring projects.

Julia started her career as part of a graduate trainee programme at a major international motor company and then worked in sales and marketing at a five star hotel in the UK. She also has experience in marketing planning, research, and business and competitor intelligence.
