Justine Gordon

Justine Gordon is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ New York office and global head of Infrastructure within the Financial Services Practice. She advises investment platforms and public companies globally on aligning leadership with strategy to strengthen performance and create long-term value across the infrastructure, energy, and digital infrastructure sectors.

Justine’s more than three decades of experience includes over 20 years investing in and advising infrastructure and industrial businesses, followed by a decade working with the leaders of these companies and investment platforms. This perspective helps her understand the strategic, commercial, and organizational factors that shape performance across the business and investment lifecycle.

Before joining Heidrick & Struggles, Justine led the global infrastructure practice at another global executive search and leadership advisory firm. She advised corporations and investment platforms at both the fund and portfolio company levels on executive and board recruitment and succession, leadership development, governance, and organizational effectiveness.

Earlier in her career, Justine invested in infrastructure and energy. She launched and led the real assets investing business at Carlyle AlpInvest, focusing on secondaries, co-investments, and select primary fund investments in energy and infrastructure. Before that, she was part of the senior team that built the direct infrastructure businesses at RREEF Infrastructure and Guggenheim Partners. She entered private equity at Chartwell Investments, working with families and management teams across the middle-market industrial and energy sectors. Justine began her career as a chartered accountant at PricewaterhouseCoopers before moving into TMT investment banking at Morgan Stanley.
