Overview
Patrik Hammar is a partner in charge of Heidrick & Struggles’ Stockholm office and a member of the global Financial Services, Financial Officer, and the CEO & Board of Directors practices. He is an experienced advisor in the C-suite and board space, specializing in senior executive roles, board recruitment, and other leadership advisory services.
Experience
Patrik came to Heidrick & Struggles from another global leadership advisory firm, where he spent eight years focusing on financial services and other industries.
Prior to his work in executive search, Patrik was a managing director and senior relationship banker in Stockholm for the Royal Bank of Scotland, now NatWest, working with large corporate clients in a broad range of industries, and was the Nordic head of consumer, retail, and healthcare.
Before that, Patrik was a director and senior client executive with Swedish Export Credit Corporation (SEK), where he was responsible for the global portfolio of corporate clients within the energy, forestry, and pulp and paper sectors. He spent his early career in relationship management roles with ABN AMRO and SEB, serving Swedish corporate clients as well as multinational corporations. He also worked with the Swedish Trade Council in Paris.
Patrik is a reserve officer in the Swedish Royal Navy. He is fluent in Swedish and English and speaks conversational French.
