Overview
Guido LaPorta is partner in charge of Heidrick & Struggles’ Philadelphia office and a partner in the Chicago office. He is a member of the Healthcare & Life Science Practice, specializing in recruiting for medical and physician groups, managed care, healthcare IT, integrated health systems, PBM, and pharmacy clients.
Experience
Most of Guido’s work focuses on executive search and advisory work at the CEO and C-suite level across numerous functions and specialty areas. He works extensively with private equity-sponsored and founder-owned assets and partners with large, publicly traded, and non-profit entities.
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Guido spent several years as a litigation attorney and in-house counsel at both the Housing & Redevelopment Insurance Exchange and Excalibur Insurance in Pennsylvania. The Housing & Redevelopment Insurance Exchange is a non-profit, fully regulated reciprocal insurance provider that offers reliable, affordable insurance coverage to more than 450 governmental entities throughout Pennsylvania. In this position, Guido reported directly to the board of directors and handled all phases of insurance defense litigation and case management for HARIE governmental insureds in state and federal court.
Guido began his career in orthopedic medical device sales at a large distributorship in Philadelphia.
He is licensed to practice law in the state of Pennsylvania and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
