Overview
Thierry Lindenau is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Brussels office and a member of the Industrial and Aerospace, Defense & Aviation practices. He has conducted hundreds of searches within the aviation industry across numerous C-level functions such as CEO, COO, CCO, CFO, CHR, functional leadership roles across commercial and operations as well as board positions.
Experience
Thierry is recognized as a leader in global and senior aviation recruitment, having served airlines, airports, MROs, ground handlers, trade associations, lessors, flight training organizations, OEMs, and other suppliers within the aviation industry. In partnership with Airline Business magazine, he co-initiated the Airline Strategy Awards, which recognize the crucial role that management talent plays in shaping future success in the industry.
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Thierry worked for the last 19 years with another global executive search company where he co-led the global aviation, defense, and aerospace practice for 15 years before becoming global leader of the aviation practice.
Before that, Thierry was a senior consultant and, later, partner at a leading European executive search company based in Munich, where he handled numerous cross border European assignments in operations, sales and marketing, and general management within the aviation industry. Thierry began his career as a junior consultant with a human resources advisory firm in Frankfurt, Germany.
Thierry is a French national who grew up in both France and Germany. He spent two years as a parachutist in the German Army and currently serves as a reserve officer. Thierry speaks fluent English, French, and German.
