Andres Mejia is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Miami office, a member of the Leadership Consulting Practice, and the lead consultant for Rapid Start. He has over 25 years of senior‑level experience leading large‑scale transformation initiatives for private equity-backed portfolio companies, Fortune 500 corporations, and high‑growth enterprises across the Americas, Europe, and Latin America.

Experience

Andres advises leaders on strengthening capabilities and business models, leveraging broad experience in organizational strategy in healthcare and life sciences, financial services, private equity, consumer products, retail, technology, media, energy, oil and gas, and transportation sectors. He partners with clients to align talent, culture, and performance acceleration.

Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Andres developed culture and performance initiatives and co‑led leadership development programs for major healthcare and life sciences organizations at another global search firm. Before that, he was a managing director for a consulting firm, guiding clients through major transformations, including a utility’s regulatory‑driven overhaul, a Fortune 50 consumer products firm’s shift to innovative product pipelines, and a UK rail operator’s adoption of a disruptive service model.

Prior to that, Andres was an organization solutions expert leading multi‑year transformation programs for finance, pharmaceutical, and consumer packaged goods firms. His work included a pricing strategy for a regional bank that unlocked $80M in annual revenue, as well as merger integrations and technology strategies that delivered substantial savings for energy, insurance, and media clients.

Andres volunteers in community outreach programs in Brazil, New York, and Colombia, and disaster recovery efforts in Haiti and Texas. He is the founding member of the nonprofit Squash Urbano Colombia.
