Sahar Malik is a principal in Heidrick & Struggles’ Chicago office and a member of the Healthcare & Life Sciences Practice. She specializes in recruiting executives to board and senior-level roles, including CEOs, presidents, chief business officers, chief operating officers, R&D leaders, and other senior roles across the entire healthcare and life sciences ecosystem.
Experience
Sahar has thirteen years of experience in executive search and leadership advisory, with expertise across the following sectors: biotech and pharmaceuticals, life sciences tools and diagnostics, contract development and manufacturing, medical devices and technology, healthcare services, and digital health. Her clients have included start-up, venture backed, private equity backed, large and mid-sized public, and private companies.
Previously, Sahar worked for a leading global executive search firm. In addition to her client work across the healthcare and life sciences space, she was director/head of research for the Chicago Office, leading a team of sixteen analysts and associates, responsible for their growth and development in the firm. She was also a global sub-sector and key account leader. Sahar helped build the medical device, digital health, healthcare private-equity, and healthcare services practices.
Sahar began her career as a research assistant in the economics department at Columbia University, conducting research in industrial organization and game theory.
