Anne Lim O’Brien is a vice chair and partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ New York office. She is a top contributor and leader in the global Consumer Markets and CEO & Board of Directors practices, specializing in serving clients within Fortune 500 companies, for those financially sponsored by leading private equity firms, and for owner-founder led companies.

Experience

Distinguished for her role leading several of the firm’s key strategic accounts, Anne brings deep and relevant understanding of the challenges facing global consumer-driven companies, especially within the highly branded fast moving consumer goods sectors. She has well-established consumer sector expertise in the food & beverage and the personal care arenas, across trend-driven, lifestyle brands that exemplify better-for-you choices. She is an advocate of purpose-driven companies invested in the sustainability agenda.

With more than 30 years of executive search and talent consulting experience, Anne has partnered with CEO and boardroom clients globally to solve their governance and C-Suite leadership needs. She has completed more than 250 such projects working at the top. Throughout her career, Anne has held a special interest in boardroom and leadership effectiveness, board and CEO succession, and recruiting next generation leaders – especially in diversity talent, women, and internationally experienced executives.

Anne started her management consulting career in Singapore as an associate with Price Waterhouse, focusing on Southeast Asia clients.
