Beryl Ong is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Toronto office and a member of the global Consumer Markets Practice. She advises Canadian consumer-facing businesses navigating growth, transformation, and heightened competitive pressure across retail, consumer products and services, and hospitality and leisure.

Experience

With more than a decade of executive search experience, Beryl partners closely with boards, investors, and leadership teams to build senior teams well-suited to both the business today and its future direction. She works across ownership structures, from private equity-backed and founder-led organizations to large, publicly traded companies, and is known for her thoughtful, pragmatic approach to complex leadership decisions.

Beryl has deep relationships with general management and functional leaders across finance, sales and marketing, operations and supply chain, and human resources—often supporting clients at pivotal inflection points where leadership quality is a critical differentiator.

Before Heidrick & Struggles, Beryl was with another global executive search firm in Vancouver, where she was a member of the North American industrial and Canadian consumer practices.

A proud first-generation Canadian, she brings a unique perspective on diversity, equity, and inclusion to each engagement, particularly when assessing fit.
