Overview

Nick Parfitt is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ London office and leads the Assessment for Search strategy, focusing on leadership assessment, succession, and development. His work focuses on evaluating and benchmarking internal successors and finalist candidates for CEO and C-Suite roles. He is a member of the Consulting leadership team and the CEO & Board Practice. He works across all sectors, often in a Private Equity context.

Experience

Nick has more than 25 years of experience in talent and leadership advisory roles and has assessed hundreds of leaders for selection, development, and succession planning. He engages regularly with leaders in a team acceleration or coaching capacity after initially working with them in a leadership assessment context.

Nick’s extensive international experience includes time spent living and working in the U.K., U.S., and Germany. He has helped many organizations assess their global leadership bench strength by managing consulting engagements that cover multiple countries.

Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Nick was a founding member of specialist assessment and development consultancy Cubiks, which spun out of PA Consulting Group through a management buy-out. He established the Cubiks U.S. operation in Chicago in 2011 and managed the expansion of the team and client base for the next six years. He relocated to the U.K. in late 2017 to lead international client development and complex assessment and development assignments.

As chief commercial officer, he was a member of the Cubiks executive team and board which managed the sale of Cubiks to PSI Services (since rebranded as Talogy) in October 2019.

Nick is certified to use a broad range of assessment instruments and has worked with many organizations to develop customized leadership frameworks and accompanying diagnostic tools. By analyzing trends in assessment data he helps clients identify the factors that differentiate their highest performers.

Nick has appeared on BBC News and BBC Radio Five and has contributed to various radio business programs, as well as to The Times and the Financial Times.
