Overview
Mark Turner is the chief commercial and operating officer of Heidrick Consulting, based in Heidrick & Struggles’ London office. He leads the firm’s global business operations and commercial strategy, partnering with the leadership team to drive growth initiatives and ensure operational excellence.
Experience
With over two decades of experience at the intersection of operations, strategy, and transformation, Mark specializes in building future-ready operating models that align strategic goals with commercial delivery. He has expertise in global regulatory environments and in delivering enterprise-wide transformation programs, supported by advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and automation.
Before joining Heidrick & Struggles, Mark held senior roles at Barclays, Deloitte, and Freshfields, and in global legal services and private equity firms, leading major initiatives to increase profitability, improve operations, and embed innovation.
Mark is committed to building sustainable and inclusive business models. His work has been recognized, including an FT Innovation Award for excellence in client services. He has served for several years as a judge for The Lawyer Awards and has presented at industry conferences and as a keynote speaker. He mentors leaders in financial and professional services firms.
