Scott Thompson is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ New York office and a member of the Financial Services Practice. He advises financial institutions and complex organizations on critical leadership and talent priorities, with a particular focus on executive search, assessment, and succession planning.
Experience
Scott works across financial services, partnering with banks, asset and wealth managers, private equity firms, insurance companies, fintech and payments businesses, real estate firms, and market infrastructure organizations. He has particular expertise at the intersection of financial services and technology, advising clients on leadership needs related to transformation and emerging technologies.
His recent work includes searches for chief operating officers, chief information and technology officers, and senior executives across cybersecurity, data, artificial intelligence, and operations. He also recruits technology leaders across industries and advises Fortune 100 organizations in healthcare, telecommunications, and defense on senior cybersecurity and AI leadership.
Before joining Heidrick & Struggles, Scott worked at Bloomberg L.P. in sales and analytics, managing relationships with investment managers, insurance companies, endowments, and universities.
