Yoshihira “Yoshi” Terashima is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Tokyo office and a member of the global Industrial Practice. He focuses on CEO, C-suite, and senior leadership appointments across a broad range of B2B sectors, with expertise in automotive, electronics, electrical, mechanical, chemical, energy, and transportation.
Experience
Yoshi has more than 20 years of executive search experience, leading senior executive searches in Japan and across the broader Asia-Pacific region. He advises clients during business transformation, succession, organizational restructuring, and market entry and has led cross-border assignments across the region. His work also extends to technology and digital businesses, particularly where the industrial and technology sectors converge. He also advises clients on leadership needs related to AI, digital transformation, data and analytics, IoT, cybersecurity, and other emerging technologies reshaping traditional industries and creating new business models.
Throughout his career, Yoshi has worked with established global corporations and emerging businesses across industrial, manufacturing, technology, and digitally enabled sectors, helping them address evolving leadership needs as their businesses and markets change.
Before joining Heidrick & Struggles, Yoshi spent more than 15 years with U.S. and Japanese executive search firms, focused on senior executive recruitment across the industrial and manufacturing sectors.
Earlier in his career, Yoshi spent six years with a major Japanese manufacturing company. His firsthand industry experience, combined with more than two decades in executive search, informs his approach to executive search and leadership advisory engagements.
