Sam Burman is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ London office and global managing partner of the Disruptive Innovators Team, focusing on the firm's partnership with high-growth start-ups, and head of Specialty Practices. He also leads the Digital Practice in Europe and Africa.
Sam is also a member of the global Technology & Services and Technology Officers practices. He focuses on critical business topics such as digital transformation, data monetization, technology enablement, cybersecurity, future workforce, and artificial intelligence, as well as how to scale high-growth, digital businesses on an international scale. He works with corporate enterprises, digital pure-plays, and advisory firms, in both public and private equity settings, delivering on functional appointments such as chief digital, chief data, chief product, chief technology, and chief information officers, and commercial leaders including chief executives.
Sam works across a variety of industries including consumer internet, gaming, retail, media & entertainment, and telecommunications, as well as emerging verticals such as healthtech and proptech. Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Sam led the digital & technology practice for an international boutique executive search firm and established the IT leadership practice for a FTSE-listed global recruitment firm. Both roles covered UK and Europe across multiple sectors.
Sam earned a bachelor of arts degree in history, with honors, from Oxford Brookes University.
