Michael Hirshman is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ New York and Los Angeles offices and a member of the Healthcare & Life Sciences Practice. He focuses on placing board, chief executive, and other senior executives in the sector.
Experience
Michael’s clients range from entrepreneurial startups to Fortune 500 companies as well as financial sponsors that invest in the segment. He specializes in recruiting roles with a strong technical component, where deep subject matter expertise is required to fulfill the mandate.
Before joining Heidrick & Struggles, Michael worked in venture capital and at another recruitment firm. He began his career as a journalist at Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.
Michael is a frequent speaker on topics related to executive career management. He is fluent in English and Spanish. While at UCLA, Michael was president of the Graduate Student Association.
