Leadership Coaching for Organizational Performance (LCOP) is an ICF-accredited Level 2 coaching education program focused on developing professional coaching capability for application in organizational settings.
LCOP is offered through both exclusive organizational cohorts and open-enrollment university programs:
• Exclusive Organizational Cohorts: Organizations can bring LCOP to a dedicated cohort of their internal leaders, providing a comprehensive coach education experience designed to develop their capability to serve as executive coaches within the organization.
• University Partner Programs: LCOP is offered by Heidrick & Struggles through open enrollment in partnership with leading U.S. universities, including American University, Rutgers University, and North Carolina State University.
LCOP is guided by the ICF Core Competencies and ICF Code of Ethics and combines instruction with coaching demonstrations, experiential learning, coaching practice, observation, feedback, reflection, and mentor coaching.
The program includes a formative evaluation process designed to support and document participants' development and application of coaching competencies throughout the learning journey. Formative evaluation is developmental in nature and provides participants with ongoing opportunities to practice, receive feedback, reflect on their development, and progressively strengthen their coaching capabilities.

• Program Format: Twelve classroom days delivered through a series of learning modules, along with additional required learning activities
• Intended Participants: Individuals seeking to develop professional coaching capabilities and leaders seeking to incorporate coaching skills into their leadership practice
• Prerequisites: No prior coaching experience or ICF credential is required
• Mentor Coaching: 10 hours of mentor coaching over a minimum of three months, consisting of seven hours of group mentor coaching and three hours of individual mentor coaching. The individual mentor coaching includes six 30-minute observed coaching sessions with developmental feedback.

Completion of the full LCOP program satisfies the coach-specific education requirements of an ICF Level 2 accredited education program. Graduates who meet ICF's other credentialing requirements may apply for the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential through the applicable ICF credential application pathway.
