Sean Carroll is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Stamford and New York offices and a member of the global Technology & Services Practice, focusing on software and industrial technology clients. He has more than twenty years of experience filling CEO, president, COO, and CRO positions for high growth technology businesses.
Experience
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Sean was managing partner with Polachi, a boutique retained executive search firm, where he focused on serving the fast-growing technology market in the New York metro area.
Previously, Sean was managing director of The Barlow Group, an executive search firm. Before that, he was SVP and head of human capital for Pequot Capital Management, advising CEOs, investors, and board members of more than forty portfolio companies in the software, telecommunications, and life sciences sectors.
Sean began his career as a Naval Aviator, serving in the Gulf War as a maritime patrol pilot and mission commander. He commanded numerous maritime patrol missions throughout the Persian Gulf, Indian Ocean, and Pacific Ocean. He completed his naval career as an instructor pilot based in Jacksonville, FL.
