Overview

Ian Graham is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Stamford office and a member of the Financial Services Practice. He advises financial services companies and private equity firms on CEO, C-suite, and board leadership, with experience across wealth and asset management, insurance, and professional services.

Experience

Before joining Heidrick & Struggles, Ian led the business and financial services practice at Notch Partners, facilitating pre-deal and post-investment executive partnerships for private equity firms. He helped investors access CEO-caliber operators to strengthen diligence, shape investment theses, and accelerate value creation across business and financial services subsectors, including financial services, professional services, residential services, and commercial services. In this role, he became a trusted advisor to leading private equity firms, providing market insights and access to senior leadership throughout the investment lifecycle. He executed CEO and C-suite searches, supported board buildouts, and partnered with senior operators to develop proprietary investment themes.

Earlier in his career, he worked at Deloitte as a management consultant, leading strategy and operations engagements for the firm's financial services clients.

He began his career at Fidelity Investments, working across the retail investing and capital markets businesses.
