Experience

Tonny has more than 20 years of experience in strategy and organization consulting across APAC, with a focus on the government, state-owned enterprises (SOEs), and industrial sectors. He is passionate about unleashing the potential of organizations through a combination of strategic capabilities injection, leadership development, organization structure, and culture shaping interventions. With deep experience driving end-to-end transformations over a multi-pronged approach, Tonny has designed and delivered complex projects helping CEOs identify new growth opportunities and augment their strategic human capital initiatives, including developing new capabilities, and conducting executive search to onboard new expertise.

Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Tonny was co-lead of another leading search firm’s organizational strategy practice in APAC while also leading the public sector practice in Singapore. He was the founding president of KF Academy, which launched the national-level Human Capital Development programme aimed at developing the future HR leaders of Singapore.

Prior to that, Tonny was the public sector and SOE practice lead for Roland Berger Strategy Consultants in Southeast Asia. Tonny started his career with the Singapore government where his experiences ranged from manpower policy and planning and foreign affairs—based in London to attract global talent to work in Singapore—and subsequently in New York with the United Nations (UN) working with Singapore’s permanent representative to the UN on ESG and sustainability topics.
