Overview
Afaf Merheby is a principal in Heidrick & Struggles’ Dubai office and a member of the global Industrial Practice. She focuses on C-suite and board-level searches across transportation and logistics, automobility, industrial technology, diversified services, and finance leadership in the Middle East and North Africa.
Experience
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Afaf spent three years with a leading boutique executive search firm operating between Riyadh and Dubai, advising senior executives across the MENA region. She helped place senior leaders across a wide range of sectors, including family businesses, diversified conglomerates, industrial, and consumer organizations. She also developed deep expertise in finance leadership searches and in delivering finance mandates across all industry sectors in the Middle East.
Afaf began her career in architecture and design before transitioning into project management roles focused on social impact initiatives in collaboration with the United Nations. This diverse foundation, combined with her strong passion for people development and deep understanding of leadership dynamics, naturally led her into executive search.
