Mija Reetz is a principal in Heidrick & Struggles’ Bremen office and a member of the Leadership Development Practice, focusing on identifying and developing leaders. She brings global reach to her client work in leadership assessment, leadership development, and executive coaching.

Experience

Mija bridges the intersection of business performance and leadership effectiveness, accelerating large-scale leadership and talent solutions. She helps organizations translate strategic ambition into measurable leadership impact, ensuring human-centric leadership is deliberately aligned with enterprise priorities and economic goals.

As an ICF-trained coach, Mija integrates a strong coaching mindset into her advisory work, helping executives, teams, and organizations identify and unlock potential and build future-ready leadership capabilities at scale.

Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Mija was with a smaller consulting firm, focusing on international communication and change management.

Earlier in her career, she held HR roles in the industry, shaping people development and learning experiences. 

Mija is certified in a wide range of assessment tools and works fluently in both English and German.

Mija is the co-founder and co-lead of a regional initiative under the German Foundation for Young Adults with Cancer.
