Overview
Sara Spiering is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Chicago office and a member of the global CEO & Board of Directors and Industrial practices. She focuses on non-executive directors, CEOs, executive and non-executive chairs, presidents, COOs, and operators and on consulting engagements for CEO and board succession planning, pre-IPO board building, and corporate governance best practices. She also leads the Transportation, Logistics & Distribution sector.
Experience
Sara has conducted roughly 300 non-executive director searches, primarily for F500 companies. She has deep expertise in diversity board recruiting and has extensive connectivity into diverse and rising star board talent.
Before joining Heidrick & Struggles, Sara worked as an attorney. She spent four years practicing management-focused employment law and commercial litigation with DeWitt Ross & Stevens.
Sara speaks frequently on governance issues and has done so at multiple NACD Annual Summits.
