Jackie Gallagher Zavitz is the partner-in-charge of Heidrick & Struggles’ Philadelphia office and is a member of the Education, Non-Profit and Social Enterprise Practice. Her client work focuses on leadership transitions in non-profit organizations, from higher education to mission-based operating non-profits to foundations. She has led numerous CEO searches for organizations that span many causes.

Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Jackie was a principal in the global educational practice with another executive search firm. She spent eight years at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania where she served in a number of senior roles in the administration. Jackie started her career with the Electric Power Supply Association, where she did regulatory lobbying.

Jackie serves on the board of the Council for Relationships, a non-profit organization that provides family-based therapy and clinical training in the Philadelphia area. Jackie is a recipient of The Forum Award for Emerging Women Leaders, given by The Forum of Executive Women in Philadelphia, an organization into which she was later inducted.


Jackie earned her master’s degree in education from the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor’s degree in communications from the American University in Washington, D.C.
