Overview
Fabian Tan is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Singapore office and a member of the global Industrial and Corporate Officers practices. He works with regional and global leaders on executive search, succession planning, and leadership assessment and development for C-suite executives and board directors.
Experience
Fabian specializes in the engineering, construction and infrastructure, energy and renewables, transportation and logistics, aerospace and aviation, and manufacturing sectors in Asia Pacific, partnering with multinational companies, private equity firms, and family-owned businesses on strategy and transformation. Within the corporate functions, he covers finance, human resources, legal, supply chain, and operations.
Previously, he was a member of the CEO & Board of Directors Practice based in the United States, working closely with international energy and infrastructure clients.
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Fabian was an asset broker with Maersk. He graduated as the top international trainee and subsequently worked on projects in the Americas, Europe, and Asia. He specialized in new buildings, distressed asset investments, and financing mandates across shipping, offshore, and oil and gas. Notably, he was part of the AP Moller-Maersk newbuilding team based in Copenhagen.
Fabian has broad international experience, having worked in Singapore, Denmark, China, and the United States. He is certified in Hogan assessments and HR management and analytics from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
