Overview
Gustavo Alba is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Miami office and is a global managing partner of the Private Capital Practice, overseeing engagements for portfolio companies and investment firms worldwide. He specializes in talent advisory and executive search for CEOs, board members, and senior leaders across professional and business services and tech-enabled organizations, with a focus on private equity–backed companies and private partnerships.
Experience
Previously, Gustavo led Heidrick’s global Technology & Services Practice, advising clients across software, professional and technology services, and digital infrastructure. He also led chief strategy and transformation searches for clients across industries. Gustavo has been a member of the firm’s Management Committee since 2022.
Prior to Heidrick & Struggles, Gustavo was a partner and managing partner of another executive search firm’s New York office, focused on helping CEOs and other executives across professional services organizations. Before that, he was the head of global recruiting at Booz & Company, reporting to the CHRO, responsible for external hiring and executive talent integration. Early in his career, Gustavo founded International Recruiting Group.
