Overview
Ellen Maag is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Washington D.C. office where she leads the America’s region of Heidrick Consulting’s Leadership Assessment and Development Center of Excellence. Although Leadership Acceleration is a core area of focus, she also delivers offerings across Heidrick’s Leadership, Team, and Organization Acceleration platform. Her expertise includes executive leadership and team assessment, development and coaching, succession and talent management, strategic and operational organization design, and enterprise change.
Experience
Ellen has nearly 25 years of experience working with senior leaders and top teams to interpret and address the leadership team performance requirements of their business strategy. She helps leaders build and enhance their individual and collective capability and capacity to deliver on business objectives by helping them align on a shared vision of the future and a concise set of strategic priorities; assess, understand and develop their leadership strengths and opportunities; and derive more value from their teamwork.
Ellen works across a wide range of industries focusing on healthcare and life sciences, professional services, consumer, industrial, and energy. She is currently submitting ICF Professional Coach Certification (600+ hours of coaching). She earned certification as a team coach (Team Accelerator Coaching Program), as well as in Kaiser’s Leadership Versatility Index (LVI), Hogan Leadership Development Suite, Hay’s Emotional and Social Competency Inventory (ESCI), Saville Wave Expert and Professional Styles, Heidrick’s Leadership, Team and Organization Acceleration Questionnaires.
Before joining Heidrick & Struggles in 2014, Ellen delivered client work at Navalent, Mercer/Mercer Delta Consulting, and Ernst & Young.
