Our commitment to DE&I—for our clients and ourselves—starts at the top, from our board of directors to our chief executive officer and leadership team. Our culture stems from our values, which were developed by our board and senior leaders and are exemplified daily by our colleagues. We strive to create an open, inclusive, committed culture where our employees can fully enjoy their work and trust their colleagues and partners. We believe this type of culture creates an environment most conducive to a successful, productive, and happy team.

We are proud of our ongoing efforts to promote DE&I, which always starts with our people. Our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) exemplify our people-first approach and represent a safe space for employees to promote and celebrate affinity and community while providing the firm a window into what the groups represented need. Our advancement and development programs—including Accelerating Women’s Excellence and Advancing Professionals of Color—bring people together to benefit from mentorship, training, and other opportunities on their professional journey.

Overall, our Inclusive Culture Learning Journeys and other DE&I resources serve to create a sense of community for all of our employees and bring our value, “Respect and Value Each Individual,” to the forefront of our firm’s culture.

Heidrick & Struggles 2021 ESG Report

This is Heidrick & Struggle’s second ESG report, covering environmental, social, and governance activities that took place during fiscal year 2021, beginning January 1, 2021 through December 31, 2021, except where otherwise noted. This report was produced in line with globally-recognized frameworks including the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) standard for Professional & Commercial Services. The report covers impacts within our corporate boundary—through our network of leased office space in 46 cities in 26 countries around the world.
