Overview
Scott Harris is a senior client principal in Heidrick & Struggles’ Boston office and a member of Heidrick Consulting. He is a trusted advisor to clients when selecting and onboarding leaders best suited to accelerate their organization’s business objectives.
Experience
Scott is an expert on leadership transitions, assessing hundreds of senior leaders for selection, succession, and development purposes across various industries and functions, including life sciences, financial services, and technology.
When leading assessments, he focuses on the candidates’ fit to the role and ability to advance the business’ strategic objectives. Following the assessment, Scott works closely with the selected candidates to craft their onboarding and development plans to ensure a smooth transition into their new roles.
Scott applies his assessment delivery experience with success profiling, competency modeling, analytics-based talent reviews, and executive coaching. He designs custom assessment tools and processes, including role-play business simulations, and trains other consultants on how to use them.
Prior to his consulting career, Scott spent over five years in operations leadership roles in the commercial real estate and auction industries.

Awards
Scott began his career as an officer in the US Army, where he led troops in Europe and Asia. His military service culminated with his work as a key logistics planner for Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan, where he was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal.
