Jonathan Jones

Overview

Jonathan Jones is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ New York office and a member of the Financial Services and Human Resources Officers practices. He recruits chief people officers and other HR functional leaders across banking, private equity, hedge funds, insurance, asset managers, and other major financial services segments.

Experience

Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Jonathan was a senior vice president of recruiting at D. E. Shaw, where he led search efforts across the firm’s discretionary investing units and corporate functions. Before that, he was head of business development at Point72, focusing on hiring investment professionals at all levels for the long/short equity business. Earlier in his career, Jonathan was a recruiting leader at BlackRock, following his tenure as global head of recruiting at Goldman Sachs.

Jonathan has served on the advisory boards of various recruitment technology startups and has written extensively on careers and recruitment in the financial services sector. His work has been published in Forbes, HuffPost, Inc. Magazine, and Apple News, among others. He has also served as a guest lecturer on recruitment and careers at Duke University.
