Sonia Perdomo is a principal in Heidrick & Struggles’ Bogotá office and a member of the CEO & Board of Directors and Financial Services practices in Colombia. She also works in the Legal, Risk, Compliance & Government Affairs practice. Sonia has over two decades of experience as a business leader and legal advisor in both the public and private sectors, with a depth of expertise in family-owned businesses. She is a certified mentor through Women in Connection.

Experience

Before joining Heidrick & Struggles, Sonia led several Odgers Berndtson practices in Bogotá, Colombia, encompassing board services, financial services, family business, professional services, and government and public organizations.

Sonia conducts executive search and advisory engagements primarily focused on C-suite roles, board members, and CEO appointments, as well as other enterprise-wide leadership roles, including general managers, presidents, and heads of major business lines or functions within large, complex, and often cross-border organizations. These are often client- and service-centered organizations that deliver critical and sensitive value, operating in highly regulated environments such as consumer and commercial financial services, healthcare, life sciences, education, and non-profit sectors.

Her experience and leadership perspective are highly transferable, delivering meaningful impact to adjacent industries that value similar dimensions of governance, transformation, and strategic alignment, such as energy, utilities, transportation, technology, and telecommunications.
