Alasdair Spink is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Singapore office and a member of the Industrial Practice with experience in managing complex international mandates.
Experience
Alasdair specializes in supporting clients from Western global multinationals to private equity-backed portfolio companies in high-growth mode. He also works with established and emerging Asian families or government-backed companies pursuing international expansion. He has been involved in multiple mergers and acquisitions, advising companies to commercially and culturally adapt their leadership teams to address market opportunities.
Since 2016, Alasdair has been based in Singapore where he supports industrial sector clients to appoint leadership teams at both regional headquarters level in Singapore and across the Asia-Pacific region.
Alasdair began his career in executive search in the United Kingdom, focusing on private and public infrastructure. He supported business and government clients involved in large-scale capital projects, including the development of the London Olympic Park and the economic development of East London.
Since 2010, Alasdair has been focused on Asia markets. Initially based in the Middle East, he moved to India in 2012, where he led the industrial practice, working with multinational clients to appoint local leadership to navigate the complexities of India. He also worked with Indian conglomerates to diversify their leadership teams in preparation for international expansion and financing.
