Sharon Sands is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ London office and regional managing partner, Consulting, for Europe and Africa. As a member of the global consulting leadership team, she has shaped the firm’s point of view on Leadership Development, Leadership Assessment, and Coaching practices. Her leadership has ensured that Heidrick & Struggle has a first-to-market AI-led Immersive Simulation assessment to help clients future-proof their business through leaders. She has led the firm’s approach and methodology for CEO succession and acceleration as a member of the CEO & Board of Directors Practice and has led global CEO succession engagements across industry sectors.
Experience
With more than 20 years of experience as a leadership consultant and executive coach, along with a deep understanding of behavioral complexity in organizational systems, Sharon helps leaders shape their organizations and accelerate performance.
In addition to pioneering Heidrick & Struggles’ first-to-market AI-led immersive simulation assessment model to provide predictive analytics for potential C-suite leaders, she has led the firm’s assessment and development design teams and managed some of the largest global leadership performance and assessment programs.
Sharon’s work reflects a commitment to defining and designing solutions that enable clients to future-proof their strategies through effective leadership. She is a trusted advisor to the C-suite, having personally led high-profile, often complex, CEO succession engagements globally, including CEO transition coaching to accelerate time-to-value and improve top-team effectiveness.
Sharon started her career in engineering before leading talent development for a global manufacturing and luxury automotive franchise business. She founded and grew a successful talent development business for 10 years, which was acquired by Heidrick & Struggles.
Sharon is a member of the firm’s Leadership Assurance team, which is dedicated to exploring and advancing new ideas on organizational governance and leadership. The team supports clients and colleagues in leading the market on emerging trends and developing innovative strategies for long-term success.
Share is a Certified Team Coach (ICF) and Certified Psychometrician. She has recently been selected as a contributing author to the Forbes Human Resources Council.
