Matti Takala is a principal in Heidrick & Struggles' Helsinki office and a member of the global Industrial, Technology, and Private Equity practices. He advises clients both in Finland and internationally on their recruitment and leadership succession needs at the board and senior leadership level.
Experience
Matti has more than 15 years of executive search experience in both Europe and North America, advising a broad range of clients from start-ups to large listed companies. He has worked across various sectors, with a particular focus on industrial goods, pulp & paper, energy, and technology.
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Matti worked for 8 years at a global executive search firm, engaged in the industrial and board CEO advisory practices. Prior to that he worked with another executive search firm in several international roles, based in Helsinki and Calgary. Matti started his career at the Finnish Institute of International Affairs.
