Overview

Hugh Marshall is the partner in charge of Heidrick & Struggles’ San Francisco office and a member of the global Technology & Services Practice. He works across various functions with a specialty focus on marketing, specifically within the software, AI, and consumer internet sectors.

Experience

Hugh joined Heidrick & Struggles as an associate in the London office and was promoted to engagement manager before moving to the San Francisco office in 2016. There, he supported the global managing partner of the Technology & Services Practice on various global marketing and human resource assignments. In 2020, Hugh became a consultant and led multiple marketing searches for VC, PE, and public companies. 

Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Hugh was an associate at a UK-based executive search firm for more than two and a half years. He worked across numerous consumer and enterprise technology clients in the UK, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands, Sweden, and the US.

Throughout his career, Hugh has worked with some of the world’s leading technology brands, including Anthropic, ServiceNow, Google, eBay, Adobe, Autodesk, Workday, Intuit, and Microsoft.
