Overview
Luke Robbins is a principal in Heidrick & Struggles’ Sydney and Perth offices and a member of the global Industrial Practice. He conducts global executive search and leadership advisory engagements focusing on engineering, industrial services, construction, resources, manufacturing, and process industries across Australia and the broader Asia Pacific region.
Experience
Luke has over 20 years of experience in executive search across various industries and sectors, including packaging, chemicals, coatings, building products, construction, renewables, oil and gas, mining, metals, infrastructure, manufacturing, and health. He works across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, North America, and Asia Pacific with publicly listed, private enterprises, not-for-profit clients, and companies backed by venture capital and private equity. Luke specializes in board-level appointments and C-suite roles, including operations, finance, human resources, research and development (R&D), supply chain management, and corporate development.
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles in 2022, Luke led the global resources practice at a European-based multinational search firm. He also founded and sold an international search firm headquartered in Europe, focused on industrial sectors. His career began in executive search for health and healthcare services in the APAC region.
Luke is a certified psychometric assessor registered with the British Psychological Society and trained by Saville. He advises organizations on leadership selection, development strategies, succession planning, and fostering inclusive leadership teams. A strong advocate for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I), he works with businesses to build inclusive teams that drive long-term success.
An Australian national, Luke grew up and studied in both Australia and Japan and has lived in Germany and the UK. His international experience has shaped his global perspective.
