The employment market for investment professionals is largely driven by fundraising but given the challenges faced by many firms over the past few years (and conceivably for a number of years to come), hiring remains muted.
Heidrick & Struggles is pleased to present our 2014 North American Operating Executive Compensation Report. We were fortunate to be able to draw upon the resources and network of both PE Open and PEI, making this report the most comprehensive compensation report of its type. We received 165 valid surveys. All of the answers are self reported.
In compiling this data, Heidrick & Struggles conducted a survey of 260 direct private equity firms (General Partnerships) operating in North America. Our survey was sent to both investment professionals as well as non-investment professionals representing other functions such as operating partners, fundraisers, CFOs, COOs, General Counsels and HR professionals.
