Overview
Harry O’Neill is a partner emeritus in Heidrick & Struggles’ Hong Kong office. For nearly three decades, he has completed high-level human capital assignments encompassing C-suite, financial services, and board functions. He continues to work as an advisor to the firm’s clients on strategic leadership needs.
Experience
Harry has held various leadership roles in the firm. Most recently, Harry led the firm’s human resources function in APAC and the Middle East, driving the firm’s people agenda in the region, with particular emphasis on diversity and inclusion. He also led the Financial Services Practice in Asia Pacific and the Middle East for more than seven years and the CEO & Board of Directors Practice in Hong Kong for three years.
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Harry was managing director at another global search firm, which he joined when it and the Hong Kong search firm he founded in 1994 combined businesses.
Harry started his career in banking with JP Morgan in London before joining the trading team at Allied Irish Bank. He also worked in Kuwait, Singapore, and Sydney, latterly for Deutsche Bank.
